HOME

Introduction
 In this english class we have thirty students in the level of 3rd cycle. In this unit we will work the topic of sports, children will  learn about sports like football, basketball, hockey, tennis, cycling, etc. and the vocabulary of them. The main aim is to develop communicative compentence in the foreing language, for that we want that our students know and being familiar with these topic.

 


For this reason we are going to work four skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.


·         So we are going to use a listening to work the socia-cultural competence to being familiar with social and cultural context in which a given language is used.


·         Besides we are going to work grammar competence with exercises in the Reading.


·         Is too difficult work the speaking in the blog because children are alone with the computers but they can repeat the words and the listenings to improve the speaking.  


·         Finally we are going to work logic structures to improve the draft in the writing.

We are in the third cycle of Primary, so students have a greater ability to store information in their long-term memory so they must to learn twelve words for unit. Learning language involves not only the manipulation linguistic structures, knowledge of vocabulary and phonetic features, it involves how to communicate the foreing language effectly, appropietly and correctly, for that we are going to work these skills with some activitates which we have desinged.



How will we do it?

We are programmed two weeks with four sessions to work this topic.

 

GRAMMAR- The text book to work the grammar with activities of Present Simple, Presente Continuous, Future Simple, Past Simple (regular and irregular form) and Impertaive form, for example texts with fill-gaps to complete.  

 
LISTENING-  Children have to enter in the link to listening the songs and answer the questions. In this part they can practise speaking repeating the words that they are listening.
 

WRITTING- We give students an activity which they must talk about their favourite sports, the writing must cover about 40-50 words as maximus. For example "My favourite sport is... I play... I don't like .... sport because... ".

VOCABULARY- Each student must to learn 12 vocabulary's words of each unit, so that students must to use the text book to know the meaning of each words given.
 

How are we going to evaluate?

We are going to evaluate two skills: Reading and Writing with exercises to see the knowledge that children have acquired.

Speaking and listening aren't going to evalue because for that we need the interaction with childrens.
